Platform Terms and Conditions

2.1 The platform is operated on behalf of Fishing Around the UK CIC by Fishing Around Ltd, which provides technical, operational, and payment processing services.

2.2 Fishing Around Ltd supports the operation of the platform and facilitates transactions between anglers and fisheries.

2.3 Fishing Around the UK CIC retains overall governance and oversight of the platform.

3.1 Fishing Around operates as a digital marketplace enabling anglers to purchase fishing permits directly from participating fisheries.

3.2 Fishing Around facilitates transactions between anglers and fisheries.

3.3 Fishing Around does not own or sell fishing permits.

3.4 Each permit purchased through the platform is sold by the participating fishery. The platform acts solely as an intermediary facilitating the transaction between the angler and the fishery.

3.5 The fishery is the merchant of record in respect of the fishing permit and is responsible for the provision of the fishing experience, including access, availability, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

4.1 Users must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and purchase permits.

4.2 Users agree to provide accurate and complete information when using the platform.

5.1 Some platform features may require users to create an account.

5.2 Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials.

5.3 The platform may suspend or terminate accounts where misuse or breach of these Terms is suspected.

6.1 Fishing permits listed on the platform are offered by participating fisheries.

6.2 Fisheries determine:

• permit prices
• availability
• fishing rules
• access arrangements

6.3 When purchasing a permit, anglers agree to comply with the rules and conditions set by the relevant fishery.

6.4 By completing a booking, the angler confirms that they have reviewed and accepted:

• these Terms and Conditions
• the specific fishery rules and permit details

7.1 The platform charges service fees to facilitate bookings.

7.2 Fees may include:

• an angler booking fee added to the permit price
• service fees charged to fisheries

7.3 Platform fees are clearly displayed during the booking process prior to payment.

8.1 Payments are processed through secure third-party payment providers operated by Fishing Around Ltd on behalf of the platform.

8.2 The platform does not store payment card details.

8.3 When a booking is made, the total amount (including any platform fees) is collected and held securely before being distributed.

8.4 Platform fees are retained by Fishing Around Ltd, and the remaining balance is paid to the fishery.

8.5 Payments collected through the platform are received on behalf of the participating fishery.

8.6 Upon successful payment, a permit confirmation will be issued to the user.

9.1 Each fishery may have its own rules relating to:

• fishing methods
• catch and release requirements
• seasonal restrictions
• safety guidelines

9.2 Anglers must comply with all fishery rules.

9.3 Failure to comply may result in removal from the fishery without refund or credit.

10.1 Fishing Around promotes responsible angling practices and the sustainable management of fisheries.

10.2 Anglers are expected to follow conservation guidelines where applicable.

11.1 Permits are valid only for the date and location specified at the time of booking.

11.2 Permits may not be resold or transferred unless expressly permitted by the fishery.

12.1 All bookings made through the platform are final and subject only to the conditions set out in this section.

12.2 All payments relate to permits sold by the participating fishery. The platform facilitates refund eligibility and credit issuance in accordance with these Terms.

12.3 Refunds are not provided in cash or returned to the original payment method.

12.4 Where eligible, refunds are issued as account credit only.

12.5 Account credit must be requested within 7 days of the original transaction date.

12.6 After 7 days from the transaction date, no refunds or credits will be issued.

12.7 Bookings may be rescheduled once per permit, up to 7 days prior to the scheduled fishing date, subject to availability.

12.8 Rescheduling is not permitted within 7 days of the scheduled fishing date.

12.9 Platform fees are non-refundable, except where required by law or where the booking is cancelled by the fishery or the platform.

12.10 By completing a booking, the user acknowledges that the service commences immediately upon purchase, including permit issuance and reservation of fishing access. No statutory cooling-off period applies beyond the provisions set out in these Terms.

12.11 If an angler fails to attend, the booking is considered fulfilled and no refund, credit, or rescheduling will be provided.

12.12 Where an angler does not make full use of the permit, the booking remains fulfilled with no entitlement to refund or adjustment.

12.13 Variations in fishing conditions, including weather, water levels, or fish activity, do not entitle the angler to a refund, credit, or rescheduling.

12.14 Unless a booking is formally cancelled by the fishery or the platform, no refund or credit will be issued.

12.15 Any decision regarding refunds, credits, or rescheduling is made by the platform acting reasonably in accordance with these Terms.

12.16 Any entitlement to refund, credit, or rescheduling relates to the underlying permit provided by the fishery and is administered by the platform on its behalf.

13.1 By completing a booking, the user agrees to these Terms and acknowledges that the purchase is made from the participating fishery, not from the platform.

13.2 Users agree not to initiate a chargeback or payment dispute for services validly purchased and made available in accordance with these Terms.

13.3 In the event of a dispute, the platform may suspend or terminate the user's account and restrict access to bookings.

13.4 The platform retains transaction records, confirmations, and activity logs which may be used as evidence.

13.5 Repeated or fraudulent disputes may result in permanent exclusion from the platform.

14.1 Fishing Around acts solely as a facilitator of transactions between anglers and fisheries.

14.2 The platform does not provide fishing services and does not control fishery operations.

14.3 To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fishing Around shall not be liable for:

• fishing conditions
• weather or water levels
• access issues
• fishery management decisions

14.4 The fishery is solely responsible for the delivery of the fishing experience, including access and safety.

14.5 Anglers access fisheries at their own risk.

16.1 Platform content and branding are protected by intellectual property rights.

16.2 Users may not reproduce or distribute content without permission.

16.3 By uploading content, users grant a perpetual, royalty-free licence for platform marketing and promotional use.

18.1 These Terms may be updated from time to time.

18.2 Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of any updated Terms.
